Are sponsorships tax write-offs??
I apologize for another question, but can business's that give an angler "sponsorship monies" write it off as a business expense? If so, how can they legally do so? I ask because I am dealing with some prospective owners and I am not at all familiar with how this stuff works of the "smaller" scale that I am on. I am sure the "pro's" have it all worked out since its their main source of income, but I am just trying to find ways to fund my tourney fees and expenses so I can fish more, and larger, events this next season. If anyone has any sponsorships 101 websites to suggest I would love to hear those too please. I want to be armed with the CORRECT information when I start approaching people for money. Thank you all again for you time and help.

Yes they are considered advertisment, as long as you identify them
