If you had only one day of fishing left...
Hey fellas, thought I would through a "what if" scenario out there to get some discussion going.
If you had only one day left to fish in your life....where would you go, when would you go, and what would you use.
For me, it would have to be back to the Quetico National Forest in Canada in late May, rippin' those brownies all day long with 3 1/2" rootbeer pocket craw. Fun stuff! (and the occasional 40" northern pike wouldn't hurt!).
Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...
That's easy for me.
If I had just one day left to fish, I'd go to Green River Lake and I would stand right on the bank where my Grandfather took me more than 20 years ago...where it all started for me really...and I probably wouldn't catch a thing, but that's okay. I might even catfish, with a night crawler on the bottom, just so he would look down and be happy that I was fishing for the "right" fish one last time. :)
Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...
A night in May on Cumberland throwing topwater baits at black shale banks.
Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...
I would unfortunately spend most of the day begging for a "boater" to take me out...LOL If I could only have one day left, I would beg Dave Stewart to fit me in and go to KY Lake and try and catch my first 5 lber. I would use whatever he told me to, or if left to my own devices I would go with old faithful and use my Green Pkn Shakey-head. Good post and question here, nice job.
Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...
I'd be on a bonefish flat off Christmas Island throwing a tan gotcha on an 8 wt. Corona in the other hand.
Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...
Lake St. Clair in July throwing a drop shot goby for massive smallies!
Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...
Around the new moon in Oct, southern Rhode Island throwing pencil poppers in the surf to bluefish and stripers tearing up the bait. Once the migration gets going and the bait is around its absolute mayham for hours on end :D

Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...
It would have to be Bucks Cove on Sebec Lake, Maine. Early July. Throwing pink Xraps for smallies (usally 50 or more a day) and a land locked salmon or two just to kep the day interesting.

For me, it would be surf fishing just about anywhere in FL. One hour before sunset when the sharks are biting, drinking a beer and listening to the waves, it doesn't get any better than that.
Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...
Well Hmmmm.I'd be sittin on the Ohio 1st week of June, nice spring flood going on with a full cooler, Overcast, the smell of water coming out of the dam, a 15inch lively skipper bouncin on the bottom.... just waitin on a boat ride......That there boy's is what it's all about...for me...Chuck
Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...
December on the Cheaspeake Bay, trolling for huge stripers. Freshwater, would definetly be on Falcon Lake, when those huge bass were biting.
