Stoner Creek Saturday

Hey guys, was gona give Stoner a try today at Frymans but when I arrived at 11 or so ice was frozen at the launch ramp heavy enough that a golf ball size rock bounced when I threw it so I never got to launch my boat......You might want to scout it out Friday evening before you make the trip Saturday......I did go to Carnico and managed a few small crappie
on my frst FnF experience,no bass though.....Had a few hits that I never got a hook in so I'm not sure what they were.....I did learn that I have a lot of learnin to do....

Appreciate the heads up. If it gets a little flow to it it won't freeze up...

Stoner was frozen over out of Ike's this morning 12/5/08 when i left the house about 9:15am. I will be leaving for work Saturday morning and i will post about 9am and let you guys know if it is still frozen over at Ike's. Just in case anyone might be going.

The local Lake Ellerslie in Lexington has ice on it. Another night of the 17* chill and it will be iced even more.

I'm going to run out that way this evening, I will post my findings, i might even take a big brick or two just to break the ice just off the edge of the ramp, so we can at least say we launched. We may not be able to go anywhere...but we can get the boat wet. LOL :)

May have to take a cinder block instead of a brick. It's cold out there right now and the sun is deceiving.

I may have to let my skirt fly up though and just use tomorrow to get my dreaded Christmas shopping done. It's the one time a year I go to the god-awful shopping mall.

yea, with a low of 18 whole degrees tonite, i have no doubt that any holes i made would be twice as thick by the a.m. :mad:

Yes DC....theres ramps in two different areas that I know of...one is there in paris and theres is one about 5 or 6 miles upstream.

Probably needless to say but Stoner out of Ike's if frozen over and collecting snow. I said I would report so I wanted to keep my word. Enjoy the day on the couch and stay warm!

Brrrrrrrrrr. too cold for my bad back to get out....Needs to be 50 and rising.....guess I'll have to wait until spring now.....:(
