livewell question
Having livewell containment issues. There is a lever under the throttle that can be moved over and back that I think keeps water in the livewell when leaving the lake. When I pull the boat out water drains out of the boat, no matter which way the lever is positioned. Is there a cable or a housing that can be replaced or is there something else I'm missing? The livewell will fill up about half way as soon as the boat is dropped in the lake also not matter where the lever is positioned. Is the lever even what I think it is? The boat is a 1995 procraft. I will be putting a new pump on this weekend because the other one only worked 1 time and has never worked again.

Re: livewell question
If in deed you are moving the correct lever which it sounds like you are there is a cable that runs back to a manual valve. If the cable broke while in the on position it will always be open. It is hard to see down in there but try and look for your lines exiting the live well going to the back of the boat and you will see where it connects to. Have someone else move the lever back and forth as well to see if the cable is moving in the back. Generally you can feel the valve opening and closing if it is connected.
Good luck!

Re: livewell question
on my old boat the set screw came loose at the valve. when you would pull the handle the cable was just sliding back and forth and not operating the valve.

Re: livewell question
you might check your valve for trash or debris that might be holding it open good luck.
