Can somebody please tell me that you struggled as bad as I did. I would like to think that I can fish a little and it was perfect weather so why did I not catch any bass. All I caught was 1 very nice 20" rainbow.

fnf is like everythign else there isnt no guarantees.....from what i have figured out for fishing the fnf on laurel it needs to be really cloudy with some wind and more luck than a box of lucky charms... thats about it... i wish i could help u some more but this is only my second season fnf fishing....
Catchemall,
I was down there last Monday, heavy overcast, windy, and some rain....a recipe for tearing them up. We caught one smallie and two 19+in rainbows and one 20 in brown on the FNF. I tried jigs and silver buddies..no luck. My partner tried shiners....no runs. I was VERY disappointed. I had been catching them pretty good on the FNF on Cumberland but not today. We did catch one striper and hooked up two more in the jumps.

Well I had a few free hours this morning and took my boat out to a little lake here in Louisville (Mckneely). Now there's no Smallmouth here, but I can usually catch several bass during the warmer months. I tried the FnF for the first time since my rod came in. It didn't take long to get the casting down and the weather seemed right but I ended up with a big goose egg so I would've been happy with the rainbow.:)
Isn't fishing fun in Ky., I zerod aswell , cumberland "#!&*V's"...........
Fished Cumberland today with Pastorbass and we had fun..big fish was a 4.7 smallie and believe it or not caught 2 on topwater.. yes topwater . we caught all others on the FnF. water temp was 49.

Don't you hate it when the fish don't do what the articles say they should be doing. I don't think they're reading the same magazines we are.
