Gamma Line
Has anyone followed the cuts made recently by Gamma in regards to their prostaff? I read all about it but I am kinda weary as to companies that make such drastic cuts - even in a slumping economy and I'm kinda afraid quality may be next.... or the opposite may be true they are trying to keep from cutting corners and saving where they can? I know the guys that are leaving them are the same guys who basically put them on the map.

Re: Gamma Line
I did read about this. What they did to their pro staff was completely wrong. If it weren't for their pro staff people wouldn't have a clue about Gamma. I think they're a joke with the price of their line anyway. i look for them to go under before long. If they don't have a prostaff to promote their product then they won't last long in the fishing industry.

Re: Gamma Line
It sounds like they just got fed up with continued negotiations. I think they will cut all pro-staff before the quality starts to deteriorate. I think the pro's sparked an interest in the company, but their growth is mainly due to word of mouth advertising and a great product. I would be fine if they quit making everything except the co-polymer. I don't see how they stay competitive with $30 flouro anyway, and I couldn't tell that big of a difference over other, less expensive brands, and actually prefer Seaguar invis-x to it. But their copolymer is my favorite line out there. It lasts forever, and is tough and strong. If I break a fish off on their copolymer it was my own fault.

Re: Gamma Line
They was going to make them buy their line? Oh, I forgot at a discount!! lol! Everybody has to negotiate at some point and it was that time of the year, man The prostaff was hot after that and was letting them know "a line sponsor is just a call away", I know there were some that were monetary staff but from what I read there were some who were just product compensated.
Col. the last copolymer I used was Silverthread and I loved it but they switched to the AN40 and it went downhill and I haven't tried any since, I may have to give it a shot
