History made tonite
Hope everyone got to see history made as Meeks hung 54 on Tenn. Tubby made the statement that Meeks was the best player he ever coached when Meeks 1st came to Ky. Tonite we got to see why. If this kid isn't on the radar as PLayer of the Year then somethings wrong. Absolutely amazing!

This young man is one of the finest guards in America without a doubt.
When you break a scoring game record set by Dan Issell, you can flat out shoot the basketball.

Re: History made tonite
Wow is all I can say. The last time I saw an individual performance like that it was done by some guy named Jordan. The most impressive thing about Meeks is he does that consistently. I mean he has already had over 40 twice this season. I remember thinking that UL did a good job on him by holding him to ONLY 28. Jeez this kid is good.

Re: History made tonite
Definitely this was a performance for the record books. What really impresses me about this young man is his personal demeanor....the post game interview with him was almost as impressive as his performance....he is a class act and sets an example that any young athelete can look up to.

Good point Dave, I've liked Meeks from the Get go. I'd love to have him on my team.
Too bad Tubby couldn't recruit, LOL.

Pat Forde's writeup of this is on the main page at http://www.espn.go.com right now. Not that I'm a big Pat Forde fan, haven't cared for him since he was with the Courier-Journal, but this one's pretty good.
