any clue to what the water temps are at laurel river
By Laurel River I imagine you mean the lake? We were there this afternoon and temps were 44 degrees around Line Creek area if that helps?

We had to leave earlier than we'd liked and got there much later than we'd also liked (hate life interferes with fishing :D ) but cousin caught a 4.5 lb largemouth on a rainbow colored Rapala...
That's better than my trip Saturday. It rained the hole trip, and was much colder than I thought it was going to be (I thought I was going to freeze to death). I didn't get bit, or at least I couldn't feel it if I did.

Yep, feel for you bro! We were going to take our 14 yr old son Sat and decided we'd not want to put him through all of that:eek:
It's on a warm up now, so with any luck things will pick up (and if they don't we won't freeze out at least) :D
