Leaving for Guntersville middle part of next week. We are staying in the mid-lake area around Waterfront Grocery. If anyone has any advice or pointers they would be greatly appreciated.

Next week will be a good time to be at G'ville. The big girls are headed to the shallows as we speak. Grab a grass sack full of Yum dingers (watermelon seed my personal favorite) and throw em till your arm falls off. If that doesn't work, back off, find some emergent vegetation and rip Rapala DT6's, or Xr50's through the grass. Hard work but worth it.
I will be going in a couple weeks and all the reports that I'm reading the rattle bait is still the predominent pattern but that can change in the next week or two with the warm weather and full moon approaching. Give us a report when you return.

I fished with Doug last year so we will certainly be dropping in and picking his brain.
Put in the Goosepond ramp, go under the bridge, and hang a left, this will open up, and is all hard bottom, with lillypads. The pump station out before you go under the bridge is good spot, we always caught fish there on white and bubblegum flukes. Mud creek has some nice spawning flats with plenty of stumps. A baby minus one is good bait.
Not being sarcastic, but I would check the Alabama Discussion Board for more up-to-date info.
http://www.wmi.org/bassfish/reports/index.html, if you click on the guntersville post after it loads up, I know the guide i used posted accurate and detailed accounts of fish he put his clients on, i know our post was accurate........IM sure the others are equally forth-right, "spinnerbait kid" put me on a big 7 plus.....more puzzeling to me is how much info he shares on this board
If you visit the Alabama page you will see that there are very few posts but I am going to put a post up over there also.
I will put a post up on the Alabama page also but there doesn't appear to be a lot of activity on that page.
