Rough day yesterday
I went to Guist Creek yesterday and only caught 2 short fish. I thought yesterday would be a great day, it was warm, breezy, mid 50’s water temperature that was slightly stained and slightly overcast. The fish should have been going crazy. We fished everywhere and just could not get bit. The two fish we caught were the only bits we had all day. This was my second unsuccessful trip to Guist. It was still good to get out and have a day off work to go fishing.:D I was thinking of trying a drop shot, what do you guys think?

Re: Rough day yesterday
fishin a tourney there on sat. care to share what you did use so i will have an idea of what not to try? also, which end were you fishing? im not able to fish before sat, so this would help as far as deciding a starting point. thanks. never tried the drop shot so i cant say if it would have made any difference.

Re: Rough day yesterday
I am fishing a tourney as well and was pre-fishing. I was tried everything, crankbait, spinnerbait, jigs, shakey head, rattletrap, pork, worm. I also fished the entire lake, I fished from 9am to 6pm. Sorry I could not be more helpful.

I also will be fishing Guist Saturday with the Franklin County Bass Club. Sounds like it is going to be a take a number and wait in line to fish day. I used to try and prefish a tournament but it would always screw me up so I quit and just tried to adjust with the conditions I found on the day of the tournament.
