C-land stripers
I heard guys were catching stripers at night last week. Are they hitting any surface lures yet or is it still slivers and little macs? I bass fish 99% of the time, but I love to go catch a few stripes at Cumberland. Unfortunately, finding and catching walleye at night in springtime has eluded me!

Re: C-land stripers
Went down last thursday evening and weathered the rain. Fished for four hours . Got there about 7 and loaded up at 11. Caught 2 short stripers in fishing creek. One right at dark and another about 10. Water is still a little stained and all this rain won't help. Next few weeks should start getting better if weather permits. Still got them on sliver and a bucktail jig. Never heard any jump. Going back next week for a couple of night trips. Waiting on the walleyes to start biting. Does anyone know when the night bite will pick up for them. I usually fish Laurel lake.

Re: C-land stripers
I fish Laurel quite a bit, too. I haven't fished it yet this Spring, but I saw a lot of boats during the nice weather last week heading down there an hour or two before dark. I'm sure they were going to walleye fish, but I haven't heard any reports.
