17 years ago today
I married the most wonderful woman in the world. We have had our ups and downs, like most married couples, but she has never once, complained about my fishing addiction. She is my soul mate, and she still is the most beautiful women in the world in my eyes. Missy I love you, and I hope we have another 17 in us.

Re: 17 years ago today
Congrats Wishin! My wife and I will be married 20 years in June. Our weeding was set for 5 pm and she asked me what I was going to do all day and I told her.....I went fishing at Taylorsville that morning and fished until around 1 pm and came home showered and went to the church. I guess she knew what she was getting herself into.

Re: 17 years ago today
I'm tying the knot in October. Through all the tournaments and days of fishing, my fiancee' has been extremely supportive -- not once has she ever rolled her eyes or complained. She even attends every weigh-in for the tournaments that my partner and I direct. She doesn't really like to fish (she likes to read while fishing), but her show of support makes me feel that I have found the right one!:D
Congrats on your 17 years wishniwasfishn!:D

I definetly married up myself, she has kept me from destroying myself many times, and like Jeanine, has always puts everyone else before herself. She has made me the person I am today, and I too will never be able to repay her. Everything is feeling better, my shoulder is still sore, but I have full movement now, so I dont think I did any permanent damage. Head is still sore, but thank god its as hard as it is.

Re: 17 years ago today
that's great, I'll be married 20 yrs in july, not once has she bugged me about my hobbies. Muscle cars came and went, motorcycles nearly killed me and now fishing and boating are on tap. She was and is not interested in any of them, but still supports my addictions. Then in January, the docs told us she has breat cancer. I'd give up everything for her. After many tears and questions, we had a double masectomy with reconstruction and now into chemo. She's doing well, and when I look at her and realize that she is my biggest hobbie....... my life.
I haven't got out yet this year, but thats ok. Those fish will still be there, I just roll on and make sure she's still there . Peace

Well Mr Wisin-I-Was,
"I was", doing okay. Then the wife saw your original post. For the passed 24 hours she's been all over my back asking me why I never say stuff like this publicly. She keeps asking "why don't you say nice stuff like that".
Well, I told here' "Honey, I don't talk like that. I show how I feel in different ways. For example, didn't I buy you a nice new porta potty 5 years ago so you'd be more comfortable when we went fishing? And, didn't I just get you one of the nicest Zebco 33 reels you've ever had? And what about that brand new set of Walmart cook pans I bought you, so you could start cooking instead of being so bored and watching TV?"
I'm glad it stopped raining today. I figure a couple days of sleeping in the shed will be okay and give some time for things to calm down. Just hate being out there in the rain, cause the Raccons take shelter there too.

Re: 17 years ago today
Congrats Bob...17 years is a decent amount of time...I've been married for 25 years but in my situation it's taken me two marriages to accomplish this feat.
Good thread, good stories, some happy some heart felt, all in all a nice thread and congrats again Bob to you and the little lady!
