Kentucky lake weekend results
I've only fished ky lake twice before, with Dave Stewart guiding. This weekend, we were on our own. In two full fishing days, we caught 20 fish between us. One 3lb, a 2lb, and a nice crappie. The rest were small LM's. Most caught in 14 feet of water off points. One under a boat dock. The points were just so wavy and windy, it was very difficult to fish. The wind today was just brutal. We put in at the Moors Saturday, and the bays across were good fishing. We caught everything on crankbaits and one on a spinner. Not bad for us. I will say to those who have never got a guide, its so worth the money. The two trips with him really helped. Conditions weren't great and we still caught a few fish.

My guess is with the fishers of men, the jetta and holiday weekend, you had the lake to yourself. Good report, heading down Friday for 6 days of having the lake to ourself as well.

That was funny! Man there were a lot of boats on the water Saturday. Jeta had 338 boats.

The waves on the main lake on KY Saturday were nothing short of horrible, be proud of the fish you caught - we couldn't find a keeper and was the first day I have been skunked without one all year!!! I could not find a pattern that would stick, it "was like" conditions were changing hourly, we caught about 60 short fish and had only 4 we could think about bumping on a bump board. I am sore as sore can be from my thighs to my shoulders those waves were brutal and I had my 520 airbourne so many times I lost count, and I wasn't the only one I heard people going by with their props singing like I was.

You are right, it got a little rough on Kentucky Saturday. I left myself a little shiort on time to get back to the weigh-in at KY Dam. Had to run that stuff over 60mph to get back. My body was a little sore Sunday.
