Greatest Fishing Wife on EARTH!!!!

My wife makes me buy my boat in 2003, literally, she talked to the salesman then bugged me all week before I gave in and bought my boat. She put up with me being sick for the last 4 years with very little time in between surgeries. She put up with me being in the hospital 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after the day we actually go married. She put up with me having a HUGE surgery 2 months and 1 day after we got married that took me 3 months to get over. I go fishing anytime I want and she has no problems with it. Then Saturday she calls me to ask me to stop by my boy Chunknwind's house in Lexington to pick up something from Chunk's (Girlfriend/LoveSlave/That Girl/HER/Or whatever she is officially called) and bring it to her. What it was, is my honey bought me a Browning Tuto Fishing Bag and had it shipped to Chunk's house. Here I was carrying the box with my own gift inside back home for my wife to give to me. Her birthday and I get the Holy Grail of Tackle Boxes. Chunk bought one the week before and it is AWESOME. Holds 8 planos, pockets and cubby holes everywhere plus this pretty slick rain cover that you un-zip and the whole rain cover rolls out and you cover your box. It stays attached on the bottom where you unrolled it and dries pretty quickly after the rain. 14lbs empty, 43lbs Full after I got done and still did not have room for my Swim baits, big worms, big lizards, big night spinnerbaits and Striper stuff, but all that can be switched out thru the season. Great Box and even better wife. For those that know my wife, can anyone of you tell me how did I get so LUCKY???????????

I thought I was pretty lucky, I mean my wife is the greatest mother in the world and generally one of the most supportive women in the world. BUT, where do I pick-up the new model that SUPPORTS FISHING TOO???????????? Congrats bro.

You dont know me, but I am good friends with Rob. We've fished for many years together. Sounds like you have a great wife. Let me tell you a story about my wife. this spring I got a hankering for another boat so I looked everywhere and finally found the boat I wanted a little north of Detroit. i went up and test drove the boat and it was great and I bought it. The next week I took my wife out and we made it about six miles up Grayson Lake and the motor thru a rod through the block, needless to say I was sick. We idled back (yeah it started and idled rough) and went straight to a boat store and priced getting it fixed or a new motor. We talked about it and we came to the decision to put a new motor on the boat. I now have a evinrude 225 e-tec on the back of my boat. She hasn't gave me any grief over it and I appreciate it. She has to be one of the greatest wife's around. At least she is to me.

I think most of us got the better deal when we married. My wife thinks fishing is a waste of time but she never complains when I go. Now, with a grandson, she encourages me, as if I needed it, to go. Occassionally, she will go a read a book when I stop to fish.

Lol She's definatly a keeper elwood. I mean especiallly after the whole 40th birthday thing and all lol .I was really expecting to see you at kentucky lake with blackeyes. I met her one time while you were in the hospital and she is a sweetheart. Hey you reckon we can get a replica made lol.

Mine is great too, goes fishing almost every trip , "forced" me to buy both boats, even baits her own hooks (but draws the line on crickets LOL)
Putting up with me for > 27 years, well she deserves a medal or something :D

Me I kinda got somewhat lucky as well back in 2005.... We were laying in bed getting ready to go to sleep and out of the blue..She just asks me if I would like to have a *** NEW *** boat....I bout jumped outta the bed...She said I could have whatever type I wanted with whatever options I wanted as long as she got to pick the color......Whhhhoooooooooo weeeeeeeee....I got myself a brand new 2005 TR196.

Color is all white trimmed in Ky Blue metal flake...:) She just wouldn't go for the one that was trimmed in red metal flake....:D:D:D
