Laurel Lake Report
Just got back from Laurel and it was a great day. Help clean up the lake for bout 4 hours, then fished. Water temps was 58-62. Caught 7 all day 4 good sized keepers best being 3. Seen a dozen at least 5 lb+ bass and many 2-4 lb range. They were in about 2-3 foot of water guarding nest. Not all, but most were on the nest. I say this will be the last few days of good fishing right now. Fished in coves around cover.

Re: Laurel Lake Report
Thanks for the report, and for helping to keep Laurel River Lake clean!
I caught a 20.5" 6.5 LB smallie yesterday evening, (according to my cheap scales) busting Full of eggs. Was really surprised at the six high jumps she pulled off, once I had her in the boat and several Hard runs every time I got her even near the boat.
So she's still swimming in there and there should be a bunch of new young brown fish before too long to grow up for future fishers.
Ryan , I know I had the same problem,(and I'm only 28 miles from Grove) until we put a pontoon at Grove. That accomplished at least a couple things, spending much more time on Laurel and forcing me to slow down so much, concentrate on the "little things".
