Green River Access
Planning on heading to Green River this weekend for the first time and will be staying at the the state park. I only have a john boat with trolling motor only. Is this the best place to launch out having only trolling motor access? Hopefully we wont get swamped onto the bank to bad but thats part of it I know. Any help on this area of the lake would be greatly appericated. Even if we only catch small bass I would be happy.
Thanks in advance!

Re: Green River Access
there is a ramp at the state park just for the campers i believe,i have just seen it from the water.and right down from it is the hortons kids camp and the have some boat docks and a fishing pier right by a small cove.looks to me it would be ideal for what your wanting to do,its gonna be pretty this weekend so i would not far out in the lake with a john boat, they will be lots of traffic.

Re: Green River Access
It's only a short drive (10-15min) from the state park to Smith's Ridge rec area that has a good ramp ad is at the end of the lake so you wouldn't get beat up to bad from the boat traffic. Much better for the jon boat in my opinion.
