Absolute worst day on cedar ever.(report)
Well The day started off kinda bad cause i had to get up EXTREMELY early to put my new trolling motor on my boat to get on the lake in the morning and not late into the day, so i was worn out already, then we got to cedar and the wind was blowing a million miles an hour and absolutely nothing at home. Then if that wasn't enough the trolling motor was almost dead so it was very slow, then my main motor quit and so i couldn't go anywhere so i had to load the boat by the trolling motor alone and call it a day. So yeah i was pretty ticked off. But i'm goin back tomorrow with my grandfather to try to land some big ones like he did a couple days back, he got 4 seven pounders in the boat and threw them all back so their all still in the lake for us to catch.
So i'll give another report tomorrow after we get back. The water temp today was 65 and the water was stained.

Re: Absolute worst day on cedar ever.(report)
Let me tell you about my bad day. I just bought in March a 1998 stratos 201 fish and ski with a johnson 200 hp. The first day I took my wife and kids out just for fun we are running for less than 10 minutes and the rod goes thru the block. It was a awful day.

One word from the movie "Napoleon Dynomite"......LUCKY!!!
Thats a nice day on the water.
Re: Absolute worst day on cedar ever.(report)
:)I know i was amazed too but my grandfather is a stand up dude and if he said that he caught them, he caught them. the reason he threw them all back is cause he has much, much bigger fish on the wall and plenty of meat in the freezer.
So today was better, we each hooked 4 and each got three to the boat for a total of six bass. All were kinda small, the biggest was about 2.5 pounds and the one my grandfather hooked this morning that got off was a big fish prolly' around 4 pounds cause it came up to the tom and snaggad a tree and came off.
The water temp was anywhere from 62.5 to 68. And it was actually more clear today which is probably why we got them. And also they WERE on their beds with several small babies with them, so the bite is ON!!!! By the way i caught one on a silver rattletrap, one on a silver fluke and one on a small green and pumkinseed brush hog and the one that got off was on that same small green brush hog. My grandfathers were on a silver fluke, a black and blue jig and a green lizard.
Hope this info helps and good luck to all thats going and catch a big one and tell the story.
