Trolling Motor PROP Help?
I was looking to get another prop for my trolling motor which is a Minn Kota. I looked on my prop and it only says weedless wedge, there are no numbers anywhere on it that I can see. I looked in Bass Pro book and there are six different ones, they all say weedless wedge but then they have numbers with them ranging from 6,7,8,24,32,33 How do I know which one I need and what do these numbers mean? Thanks in advance. It is a 101pd thrust if that matters

Do you know the model name of your trolling motor? For instance, mine is a Minn Kota Maxxum 74. When I look at the props, they say which fit what motor, as you were kind of describing. I use a MKP8. I know you will likely use a different one, as you have so much more thrust.
I do have a question for you. I have the 74lb thrust, and have considered upgrading to a 101lb, especially when I buy my new boat. I am guessing you have probably used both, do you find a big advantage having the 36 volt TM?
Thanks,

Mine is a Minn Kota Maxxum 101 pd thrust. I hope that helps in determining which prop I need. As far as the 101 over the 74, I can see a big difference in top end for moving a long short distance fast and moving the boat off a stump is no problem. I don't know if its necessary to switch but it wouldn't hurt your feelings any to do so.

the big difference is the 101 is 36 volt, Not all boats have room for another battery. Wal-mart has minnkota props
