The bluegill and redear should be on most shollow banks.Try the big cove east of the idle zone bouys, north bank all the way back to the end. Also fish around every bever hut you come to for both crappie, redear, bluegill, and warmouth.I have not been this week but was catching fish on tube jigs(red and white)and nite crawlers.Hope the kids catch a boat load.
bcnitro,
Me and my son Austin was up there on Mon. & the bluegill were on the nests. They weren't hitting very well yet, but alot can change in 5 days. We were just using red worms. We did come out with several nice ones. To keep the kids entertained, I know it did Austin, the big shiners are a blast for them to catch. He was having a ball with them. They looked like pirahnas going after his worm. We found them (bluegill & shiners) in cedar grove (the cove on the left when you enter the idle zone). I hope this helps & the kids whack them this weekend (I hope you catch a few too).

hey thanks a bunch guys, I will post how we did when we get back.
thanks again
Fish the lake on a regular basis. Crappie have been very good of late and great in size, but the bite is about over. Bass have been biting very well all over the lake, and I can't confirm, but I have ran into alot of boats claiming the bluegill bite is very good back in the stumps. Good luck, and stay dry!
