Re: Guntersville Question
leave the jigs at home. Take big spinner baits, 10 boxes of cranks, throw in a couple swim baits and possibly a c-rig. Fish the grass lines on humps and rip rap early since the shad spawn will be in FULL SWING when you're there. Then after the sun gets up, just crank humps and drops with rock. Swimbait in there for occasional big fish. Just remember this, as strong as the bite is going to be down there next week if you aren't catching at least 5 fish an hour you are doing something wrong or in the wrong place. Of course all this could revolve around a cold front, but the shad spawn will still be money.

We were down there at the end of March and had a field day. Nearly all fish came on T-rigged lizards. We used to fish C-rigs a lot, but the last few years, the T-rig was just more effective. I am looking forward to a good topwater bite. Only caught a couple or three last time.
Re: Guntersville Question
Going down there 17-20th. First time going down there and going to be staying at the state park. Any info would be apreciated.
Thanks,

Re: Guntersville Question
Throw a Rat-l-Trap and burn it thru the grass flats and humps...You won't regret it at all.....
Re: Guntersville Question
I appreciate all the tips as well. I'm headed down 12 days from now.
In addition to the lures mentioned, I'm told the buzzbait and Sammy must be tied on early and late in the day.
voeller101- I'd appreciate a report when you get back. I understand the Pro's are doing really well or recently did very well.
Re: Guntersville Question
I will do so, davidsa. Vorbeck 23, send me a PM if you want and I'll give you what info I can.
