Used to fish it years ago. Lots of cover and lots of small bass. I'm not much help...sorry!

Same here, I always heard of Shellcracker catches being pretty good there.
Well,the shellcracker rumors are true,we caught keeper size shellcrackers and bluegills all morning until the bite slowed right around 12:30 pm, they loved the redworms that me and my little one dug up under the rotten hay scattered around where I feed round bales at.Also caught several small largemouths 9-12 inches incidentally to fishing the shellcrackers.Once I found them off a lake point we sit right there and had a blast.Wife got skunked for Mother's Day but had what I'll swear was a BlueCat about 24" long up to the bank before coming undone.The small bass we caught were a really slow bite and didn't notice any bass fishermen having any luck on the lake,water still a tad cold here.
