Any of you guys have any luck with the walleye at Patoka? What pointers could you give someone not real familiar with fishing for them, thanks in advance.

Don't think they are big enough to catch yet. Biggest I heard of last year was 9 inches.
When were the walleye stocked? I missed that one!
Caught one last year weighed 7 lbs, Great eats.
Hear of a good one being caught every now and then. Just not enough to make a good fishery. The stocking program was started last year. Lots of fry and some fingerlings.
Just got a report from the DNR. They will do a check in October. Also 8.5 million fry was stocked a couple weeks ago.
Thanks for the info fellas. Been thinking of chasing something different. I don't want to drive all the way to Monroe. Sounds like the lake will be full of the eyes if they survive. Not to change the subject, but how is the wiper fishing on Patoka? I have fished there quite a bit, but alway crappie fish. Not having alot of luck as of late.
We do not have any wipers in Patoka. Only stripers and white bass.
I talked to a fisherman about a month and a half ago. He told me that the fry that was stocked didn't do very well. He said that it's too soon to see if the fingerlings will prosper. I have seen one. They are around 9 inches long.
If we can have Little Toothies in shallow mud holes that average 10-15 ft in S. Dak, I don't see why they wouldn't do very well in Patoka. The only thing that would concern me is the extended warm water temp.
