I her you guys talking about slivers but don't know this bait.
It is a hard to find Rapala crankbait that was made for saltwater use, the Bomber long A in the 5-7 inch size is simalar.
Bass Pro Shops carries them, as does the store in Russell Springs that is located in the BP gas station. They run anywhere from $7-11. They are a subsurface lure that is popular with the striper fisherman, especially for the night bite. Have used the extensively and had good luck. One note, they do not float, so you must keep a steady retrieve to maintain your desired depth.
On this subject, I have a box full of "Little Mac's" and "Big Mac's" locked away.
The son may! get them some day after I'm gone but for now they are all mine. :)
Thanks guys found them at the Rapala site. Got to looking at the storm jointed thunder stick jbj its 5.5 in bait with almost the same at the slivers. And they make it in a mag 8 in. nice colors.

They are similiar in looks but fish totally different. At night for stripers the thunderstick will stay much higher in the water column or barely subsurface. The sliver can be fished very deep if need be.

I keep and use both. The thunderstick is a great top twitch bait when the fish are on the surface or just under as is the long A.
As for the sliver, I experimented with the retrieve some this year and got my only two fish on a fast twitch and really long delay (7 seconds or so). They drop really slow, and I decided to use that to my advantage. The fish were obviously very inactive the short times I was out.

I have a feeling they'll be safe given how often you fish at night... ;-)
(I wish this board had a smiley face icon with its tounge sticking out).
Jointed thunder stick, shallow one, can be waked on top too.
Dave, I believe they still make the big mac. Little mac was discontinued.
