Gillespie v. UK
I'm surprised nobody's posted on this lawsuit yet. My thinking is, even verbal contracts can be binding, and judges can and do uphold them in court. So to me this "memorandum of understanding" that they had is ample proof that both parties had agreed that he was to be paid $1.5 million for the next five years no matter what, and that he was performing his duties with that expectation. I don't know about the punitive damages and other stuff he's asking for, but I think he wins the $6 million. What are your thoughts?

Re: Gillespie v. UK
I think it gets settled out of court and that UK gets off easy. He never signed his contract because he didn't like the behavior clause that was in there and he doesn't want this to go to trial. If this actually ends up in court and even HALF of the stories about his behavior is true, there is no way UK loses.

Re: Gillespie v. UK
I think he gets the $6 million because I think it's a binding agreement, but ultimately he's doing a lot of damage to himself by suing a former employer.
I'm not sure if it settles out of court or not, but if it does go to court, Gillispie is going to come out looking worse than he already does....and that's saying something.
