We went up to Hardy Lake and picked up over twenty crackers, some of them were downright hefty. Caught them on worms and nightcrawlers in about eight foot of water. Had a few smallish bluegill, but the redear tend to make the gills look small. Sorry no pics.
Congrats...Glad to hear they're biting. Love them redears. Think they were on nest?

I don't think they were on nest, we were catching them in 8-10 foot of water. They could've been staging up getting ready to go though, they were all females and full of eggs.
I know what you mean about the size. We have been getting some really good ones the last couple of weeks back by the submerged road. Some of the best crackers I have caught out of Hardy in the last couple of years.
does any one know if thier spawning at hardy....going up thier tomorrow
