that is awsome, good for you.
Where did you catch them?
Horton has actually done it 3 times in B.A.S.S. events and all 3 were televised:eek:. Must be one of the luckiest men on the planet!:D
Congrats to you! I hope it is the first of many for you!
I did that last year, i was pumped.. almost as good as a 5lber. congrats to you
had that happen two years ago. had my youngest boy with me who was 4 at the time and was letting him reel in the fish i would catch. didnt know it when i handed him my pole, but had a couple 2 pounders on the bait and it was a exciting moment for both of us. congrats on your double
Its a pretty awesome thing. I have had it happen twice, but both times were on a LC Sammy. two smallmouth, one 11" and one 13", and another time on a bigger sammy i had two smallies, one 16" and one 19".

I think I've got it beat..........
How about fighting a 3 or 4 lb smallie......only to have it HAMMERED by a 20lb northern........WOW........
Never had the hooks in the northern, but that thing would NOT let GO....
Talk about FUN.
I also never landed that particular northern.
Later,
Geo
i was at stoner creek, put in at fryman's.

That does sound exciting. I have seen some videos similiar to that on youtube. However, I still landed my 6lb of smallmouths! How much of your 4lber did you finally get in?:D I do a bit of Muskie fishing here in KY, and i can only imagine how much of a rush the pike hitting that nice smallie would be.
I had a 16" smallie on a sammy almost to the boat at Cumberland and had bout a 25 inch striper come like a train and swipe at and miss the sammy.
Did it one time and my wife caught it on video! I was vacationing in Kauai and went fishing for peacock bass. Caught 2 on one crankbait, both about 15".
Lakebandit...I thought that was you, Marvin told me what happened....nice!
I did it on Stoner years ago on a rattletrap...on video! Also on a top water in Florida but never in a tourny.
