Early bird gets the worm on in this case the Striper. 5:08am...a 29 1/2 inch, 7lb 9 fish, then again at 2:20am, a 33 inch 13lb 6 fish. Both caught trolling shiners at 30 ft.

Nice fish! Looks like you're figuring them out down there!
Dang nice fish, but what I really liked in the picture was the Lund Boat :)

As someone who has been in it, I can say that it's one sweet boat. When he first fired up the motor, I couldn't even hear it running.

Now that I am somewhat settled into our LC home, maybe we can get together for some SM FNF this winter?

I'd love to go anytime you'd have me along.
I fished FNF most of the winter weekends last year. I caught a couple of nice ones, but not a lot of numbers. It was really best for me Dec. through early February like the year before.
We also managed to land two stripers on the FNF gear and I think I lost another striper after about a 10 minute battle.

Let's plan on it. I'll be in touch later this winter when the water temperature gets right. Don't have any honey holes yet, but maybe this year I will be able to identify a few...?

Sounds like a plan. I have a few spots now that have produced a couple of fish at least.
