May have improved it would be my guess. This cloud cover and lower temps will inspire them ole bass this time of year.
It didn't inspire them at Rough yesterday--I fishing North Fork from just before 8 until noon when the wind picked up and I didn't have even one strike. Water temp was around 82-84 and the water had a nice green stain but not too much. I threw everything but the kitfchen siink at them.
BTW, it was mostly cloudy when I was there and cool--a great day to be out even if I didn't catch anything.

It really seems like the bass fishing has been off this year at Rough and Nolin. Looks like weigh ins have been low and I hear of a lot of people having a tough time catching fish. I wonder why.

Tuesday was a good day. Didn't catch any on top, but I didn't fish topwater much, just a couple of token casts with a pop-r. A buddy and I fished shallow and caught probably 15 or 20 bass. We quit around 12 - our best five probably weighed 14 pounds. Nothing giant, just good solid chunks.
