ok i have made up my mind i going to give it one last shot the sat. afternoon and all i want to do is catch a few keepers like i said before i have been there around 5 or 6 times with no luck at all if any one know any thing i dont please help me. you can pm me if u like

I have done well on that lake, but only in the spring of the year! Never had any luck in the summer, except at night with a 10" worm. You might want to try the bank on the right as you leave the ramp, past the rip rap, go out to the first drop, I believe it drops from about 9' to 20' down that bank, try a texas rigged worm, and fish it down that ledge. I went there last saturday (the 4th) and boated 11, w/ 4 keepers. Biggest was a little over 16" but I lost a bigger one at the boat. They were hitting cranks pretty well, but caught them on everything. Try cranking fast, hit the rocks, with a mid-depth runner.
Sounds like my luck at Green River Lake. Been there probably a good 4 times fishing tournaments I have literally threw everything in my tackle box and only caught one BASS and hooked into a big ole Muskie. I seen a lot of people talking how good of a place it is and maybe I'm just always in the wrong spots but to me that place is a dead sea and I could careless if I every fished there again. Never been to Willisburg, probably to far of a drive from the Louisville/Bardstown area anyway.
first off i would like to say thanks to all that sent me info and replied second, never again will i go to this lake was there from 3 till 9 and no keepers 5 or 6 short fish did see a small tourny go out at 4 and talked to a couple of guys around 7 that had 3 small keepers on junbug shakey head shew im so mad that i wasted my nite there

i was there tjis morning and i didnt do so well eithe. IMO its a better spring/fall lake. BTW, there is a st. croix ledgen 7ft MH action rod with a revo stx reel on it laying at the bottom of the lake cause my idiot self knocked in the lake today. did everything but go swimming to try and get it back.
i was there about two hours already when that torney started as i watched them i never noticed them catching any. i only caught 4 and 1 was a good 2-2 1/2 pounder.

when they come around the bend like a bat out of haity within 20 foot of our boat ill amit we was in a blind spot as my buddy said but if it was me coming around the bend i would of slowed down and showed some respect

i like fishing there on the weekends to try and stay away from alot of the clueless boaters, but it seems that it is just to many like that to get away from, even on the smaller lakes.

sorry the few tips i sent you didnt work out. from what ive heard, you might need to try cedar creek to catch some of the bigger fish that once called willisburg home. still alot of good fish there, just not what it was before.

well this guy looked like he had a reputation to up hold but i guess he thoght he was better than us people that has got a clue
this is the first time that some thing other than the pleasure boaters and jet skiers has really p me off this bad i mean this idiot came in full throttle and out full throttle with in 25 to 30 feet of us

not many people do it at willisburg, but i try to slow to idle if i see a boat fishing in time. the favor is hardly ever repaid, and if a boat doesnt return the favor, i remember that when im running to another spot. i dont do exactly to them as i have been done because ive had some that i thought wanted in my boat, but i make sure they get rocked like i did. might not be the right thing to do, but thats what i feel needs to be done.
ok just caught wind that the blue water led boat at willisburg lake was fishing a tourney and was on a time limit that is why he blew by us twice with in 20 feet i was fishing a tourney to so i guess that is waht i have been doing wrong all along i guess i need to blow by people really close and then go fish ahhh makes since now nope im just going to fish and respect other people weather im fishing a tourney or not its people like u that put a bad name on the rest of the people that tourney fish !!!!!!!!:mad::mad:
