My Snail Mail to Obama

Below is a copy of the letter I just mailed to Obama with copies furnised to Pelosi, Reid, and my Senators and Congressman. Feel free to copy from it and email or snail mail it to these people as soon as possible because it looks like they are going to bankrupt our contry.

President Obama,

Please stop your drive to socialize medicine in the United States.

This endeavor it the most self-defeating project I have ever seen an American President undertake. The Clintons attempted the same thing years ago and thankfully the American people recognized it for what it was and soundly opposed it before it got off the ground. Why they don’t see and understand what you are doing, I don’t understand but rest assure I see it for what it is and I am totally opposed to it.

You may not be calling it Government Controlled Health Care or Socialized Heath Care but that is exactly what it is and it will surely bankrupt our country and be the end of America as we know it. In order to see what Government Controlled Health Care will do to us, look at Medicare and Medicaid, which everyone agrees, including yourself, are going broke and are bankrupting us now. The reason government control, of anything, doesn’t work is because everyone know that a government run program will pay the highest prices and thus everyone charges the maximum and uses the program to the maximum extent possible. Ergo, eventually it goes broke.

If the government couldn’t keep Medicare and Medicaid from going broke, how could you ever think that you could expand such programs to cover every person in the United States, including all the illegal aliens, and not cause complete collapse of our government?

I say again, please stop your drive for government controlled Health Care.

Well, as of today I have received letters/replies from my two Senators and my Congressman but I have yet to receive a reply/answer from the person it was addressed to: President Obama. Oh yeah, Reid and Pelosi have not replied either. The repies i did get were pretty much the stock stuff: Thanks for informing me of you views; health care needs to be reformed but not the way the Administration/Democrats are trying to do it; I will work hard to get it done right, etc. etc. etc. etc. It is almost if all of them had the same computer program BUT AT LEAST I HEARD FROM THEM.

You know politicians are very much like vacuum cleaners. There are alot of different shapes and brands with diffrent attachments and stuff but in the end they all ****.

I recently sent an e-mail to my Congressman, Baron Hill, the blue-dog Democrat, informing him of my views on the Health Care Reform Act.

I haven't heard back yet.

And you probably won't and if you do it will have fallen on deaf ears. He is not going to buck the democratic hierarchy. He will support them in order to get financial backing that he will need to try and get re-elected. He was holding out for a better commitment from the democratic party for himself in that regard. He voted for cap and trade. Anyone who would support this idea isn't looking out for Hoosiers best interests.
He just wanted the title of congressman. Not the responsibility of representing what his constituants want.
