Sympson Lake, Bardstown Info Needed
I finally found out that they only have annual passes for sale at the city hall. No weekend permits. I have a 150hp and it will cost $50 for the pass.
Any info on this lake before I spend the 50? I have heard that the water level is sometimes to low to use the ramp. How often should I expect this? Any info at all would be appreciated. Thanks........Bill

Unless you live in Nelson County your permit will be more than $50.00... more like a $100.00+ for out of County. Expect the ramp to be dried up every year at this time due to too many residents using this resevoir. This year is an exception due to the rainfall.

+1 my cousin is in bullit co.for his boat with a 150 it was $150..and like said usually by the end of june you can't get much more than a flat bottom in there if that.with all the rain that has washed in more mud it may be worse,i was stirring mud a month ago and it was almost full.it was only 2.9ft deep down 100ft past the ramp where the silt builds up.if it's down 2ft you will plow alot of muck to get across to the deep side to go out.
Re: Sympson Lake, Bardstown Info Needed
thanks for the feed back. I think I'm gonna pass on this lake. Too many negatives for me. $ and low water doesnt sound like a good combo.
Thanks for the info...............Bill
