Shimano Chronarch 100SF ???????????
I am purchasing 3 of the older Shimano Chronarch 1000SF reels (brand new in the box from a friend) and would like some input from those of you that have fished them, or still use them. They are the older golden reels and they are extremely rare to come by. I am familiar with the older Curado SFs (I used to own 6 of them and they were built like mules!).
I have owned some of the Chronarch B models, but was wondering which model you guys prefer. Which ones are the real deal?
Thanks in advance for any advice and/or comments.:)
P.S. I have Curados, Chronarch Mgs, and a Core. I only need recommendation on the Chronarch models.

If you are getting the older ones hang onto them I sold 1 of my chronarchs used for 150 sight unseen theres guys out there looking for the old ones now the newer ones a lot of guys had spool issues and have went to cores or scorpions.btw the old 4500 abu,s are making a comeback as a crankbait reel.

That style Chronarch is the series that put Shamino light years ahead of everyone else.
You cannot wear them out. I've got 1oo's that I've had for 18 years and they're as good today as they were new.
Always keep a reel cover on them when not in use and they will last you your lifetime.
When their mold broke and they changed their style they have let all the competition catch up. Abu has made a Quantum jump with their new reels and Shamino has priced the fishermen out. Just my opinion.
I've got 9 white ones and 2 metaniums and wouldn't trade for any new reels on the market today, even cores.....Rex
