Re: some details on health care bill
Kinda hard to read. I'll try the link...oops it is broken right now. Must be gubment workers..:)
Re: some details on health care bill
Assuming it's true (too lazy to snopes it), that's some of the scariest stuff I've ever read.
Any of you lefties going to weigh in on this?
Re: some details on health care bill
Does anyone besides me wonder why they keep referring to "health care" but actually are talking about "health insurance"? They are two different things you know...
Re: some details on health care bill
Did you find the part where they are slippin' ACORN some money?
Re: some details on health care bill
Still waiting for some input from Obama supporters.
Hello?
Still waiting for some input from Obama supporters.
Hello?
I would not consider myself one of Obama's biggest fans, but here is one view from the left. First, The bill is not complete and will go through a number of revisions before it is put to a vote. I'm glad that it was not rushed and forced through before the break. Congress now has a chance to read it and consult with their consistuents before coming back to hash out the details. If they can actually work together (and read the bill!), it will be a good thing. I hold out hope that this will become a non-partisan bill where dems and repubs work out the details and come up with something that is workable for all. I'm completely over the partisan BS that has surrounded this bill along with the amount of BS that has been spread concerning parts of the bill. Both dems and repubs have been guilty of this.
As someone else mentioned, I'm also concerned that this is becoming a health insurance bill rather than a reform bill. The latter is what is needed most. In addition, the added expense of the bill ($500 billion+ depending on whos figures you believe) over the long-term is something that we cannot afford right now. I also do not like the idea of a government run insurance company, even if it is optional. I've heard a number of good things about medicare (another govt run insurance co), so may be its not all bad.

Re: some details on health care bill
This Bill is GARBAGE! It has been garbage from the start and will continue to be garbage to the end. It was concieved by complete luinitics whom have no earthy idea what they are doing.
Re: some details on health care bill
Okay Andrew weighed in. Pretty weak...falling back on the ole 'hey Obama ain't MY guy' and 'it'll go thru some revisions' soft shoe, but he's off the hook. After all who can defend the indefensible? Some good points Andrew, "read the bill"..."not rushed and forced"..."500+ billion". Careful, you're starting to sound like a right wing wacko mob member.
Pontooner? Stratosjoe? Anyone?
Heeeelloooooo?
The whole government provided health care/insurance concept absolutely bites, and it seems we all know it.
Re: some details on health care bill
Ok, so you repubs don't agree with the bill. Before you get all "kill it now" over it, bear in mind that it is not finalized. Plenty of changes that could be made to it before it even comes up for a vote. So, how would you change it? Or if you started from scratch, what would you do. So far all I've heard from the right is that its a dem bill, so we don't like it. Fine, fix it.
DH, I was saying the same thing about Obama before he was elected. Why would you expect any difference now?
Andrew
Re: some details on health care bill
You guys are making me laugh my tail off.:D Chicken little wasnt as scared as some of you! Health care is not falling just as the sky is not. This bill has not even been debated but a few days. A few of You crack me up LOL.:)
Re: some details on health care bill
No it is not been debated yet. But, why waist the time. We can't afford it working people don't want it at least the ones I have talked to. This bill is just like the stimulus package. It sounds great but after all it did not work. This bill sounds great but, when you look at the cost we can't afford it.
Politicians need to learn to spend less than what they take from us. Look what giving free education and health care has done for California. Ryan.
