Re: Kellys Bass Worms!!
Looks very similar to a Touchdown worm. Touchdowns, in my opinion, are the best pre-rigged worms out there. Also made in Indiana like Kelly's, but have made a place in a lot of tackleboxes. Touchdowns, when thrown weightless, ARE DEADLY! Ask a lot of the old-school guys about them. You can't hardly find them anymore. They set up a booth at the Louisville Boat Show every year, and the founder is a great man.
kyjonboatfisher, check these out too before you stock up on the others. I guarantee you will like these. The Purple/Red Fire Tail is the best in my opinion. The newer ones are made with the weedless pieces and I haven't used these. The older GOOD ones don't have the plastic hook keepers, just the exposed hooks. If you can find em, GET THEM!

Re: Kellys Bass Worms!!
Oldies but goodies. Fished Kelly's worms at Greenbo a LONG time ago and really slayed them with one of the VERY FEW TIMES my Dad EVER took me fishing. Still find them at Wally World and even have a couple in my box still today even though I have not used them in a long time. Too hung up on the T Rig and more standard ways of fishing when I do go that I forget about them. Pretty much cast them out and reel them in and hang on. I caught my first 5 pound Greenfish out of a farm pond when I was about 11 on a Kelly's worm. Should have seen me try to ride my motorcycle while holding that fish to show my Dad. I put it on so much ice to keep it from spoiling that it was frozen in a U shape by the time he got home. He still layed th knife to it and ate it. Never a word about mounting it or anything, just Dinner to him.

Re: Kellys Bass Worms!!
Started with them in my early days of fishing. I kinda thought they were a regional(Northern Indiana) bait. We used the "Plow Jockey" and the smaller "Pier Boy Special".
