Obama wants to control the Internet
I said I wouldn't talk about the piece of crap that somebody elected to run "OUR" country anymore, but I can't let the sick stuff these Commies are trying to pull pass,It seems Obama is trying to pass a bill that would give him power to shut the internet down at will, this coupled with his intentions on creating a "National Security Force" as strong as our military while currently stripping our military of strength has me seriously worried that all the Conspiracy Theories may just have legs to them.I think we all need to band together and stomp the life out of these Commies while we can and before it's too late.

Chavez took control of the oil companies, shut down the TV networks that opposed him. The Iranian government shut down the internet during the protests over the elections. Do you think that is similar with what is going on here with the auto makers and the fairness doctrine in radio and now control of the internet. There are certain similarities. It wouldn't surprise me that legislation would be introduced to eliminate term limits on the president.
Re: Obama wants to control the Internet
Sounds just a little too Marxist for me,and yes these are the very things that all Dictatorship/Censored Socialists pulled before taking complete control.
Think I'll start stockpiling guns and ammo over and above my norm.Fortunately I grew up without the internet and remember there are other ways to communicate.

I removed my response, because quite frankly.......you're NOT worth my time.......I think from this day forward, I will ignore your posts.
Re: Obama wants to control the Internet
I've read the two articles on the "internet kill switch" and am amused that they, the libs, are saying we have to protect our infrastructure, from water to whatever.... yet they don't even have a way to protect our food!!!
you all know how many "recalls" we have had this year alone for Salmonella (spelling??)
And, how in the world does this compare to the grounding of the air flights? I mean come on.... then add that they make it even more vague in response to criticism... and do the work behind "closed doors" and don't respond to requests for comment??
Man, my blood pressure is getting too high... LMAO... gonna have to stop for tonight... let's go fishing!!! Who's with me? I can't go tomorrow, maybe Tuesday or Wednesday....
Tight lines,
hdf

OK. Why get mad if I tell the truth?:(

This was my exact thinking as well - I don't know why your comment ruffled some feathers. Seems like the Bush admin got a free pass to monitor everything from phone conversations, to emails and internet use. I don't see this being near as intrusive as that - but I guess since Obama is doing it - it must be the work of the devil right???
I just don't get how you guys defended Bush and his cronies for the exact same - even more intrusive violation of privacy, and run Obama through the ringer for it.

You are serious? How is this the same? Please explain that one to me...

Slipped keeps playing the victim...kinda like allot of die hard libs do. Seems to work I guess.... At what point does Bush not get compared to the latest liar?
Will obamy ever have to stand on his own without the crutch of Bush? Will it ever be? The excuses of well what about Bush is getting old and lame.

I wasn't comparing Obama to Bush at all - or I didn't mean to. My point was that when Bush did the exact same thing - conservatives said it was in the interest of national security. However, Obama is a communist playing the big brother role. Just don't see how you give one of your own a free pass - but when someone from the other side does the same thing - they are heavily criticized.
I would never compare Obama to Bush. Obama has already worked more in 8 months than Bush did in 8 years. I don't agree with everything he has done - but most of it I am impressed with.

You have got to be kidding. Obama worked this past 8 months? Whats has he actually done that has impressed you?
When the "Patriot Act" was passed Libs everywhere were throwing a hissy fit about thier rights were being violated and that Bush was basicly "the devil". But now when Obama wants do this they say its great, better than sliced bread. And when someone questions this they want to compare this to the Patriot Act in its defense. Thats just hillarious.
