Re: New PB on Buckhorn Lake
I love that lake, I have only fished it once and it was early spring when the water was down, but still had a great time. If it was not so far away I would fish it often. Caught a lot of crappie there and lots of morels there on the banks also. Great pictures of your fish. I have some friends that live down there in Leslie County and fish it just about every day. Keep up the good work.
Re: New PB on Buckhorn Lake
I also live in Leslie county. I have caught alot of good fish in the head waters of Buckhorn but not alot in the lake itself. I have caught some huge smallmought in the head waters. Thats the biggest that I have caught in the lake. It was caught on a mainlake point almost straight acroos the lake from Gays Creek.
Re: New PB on Buckhorn Lake
I am now big fan of those "toothy critters" you mentioned, but that picture makes that particular fish look beatiful! The LM looks pretty good too man ;) Congrats and good luck at the "other place".
Re: New PB on Buckhorn Lake
Thanks, last year I seemed to caught bigger bass on Carr Creek lake. I haven't had a chance to fish it at all this year though. In the pic. of the Musky it was raining when I caught it so have to wait to get that shot after we pulled the boat out of the lake. The pic.s of the bass don't do it justice. Don't know if it is because I didn't hold the fish out away from my body and closer to the camera or if it just looks small compared to me ...lol... But it doesn't look like a 5 pounder in the pic.
Re: New PB on Buckhorn Lake
I thought the same thing....camera angles and proximity are the key! Nice Muskie...they are really beautiful. I caught one this year at KY Lake while bass fishing on a SB...thought I had a monster LMB!!!!!
Re: New PB on Buckhorn Lake
mmm, not being mean, but no way that can be a 5lber...unless some serious picture problems or something? looks like about 2 maybe 3? how long was it?

He said exactly what it weighed. Pics can be deceiving. He might be a big guy.

Re: New PB on Buckhorn Lake
Dont forget Buckhorn muskie size limit is 40 inches. Sounds like a good day.

Yeah, I thought the same thing when I looked at the pic.s on here but the bass was just a hair over 21" long and 12" around.
AndyG, your right about the big guy comment. 6'3", 250lbs.
Medicine Man, that fish was alittle short of the size limit. 36"
Re: New PB on Buckhorn Lake
that right there would be a 5lber then...lol
