Are the fsh in the deeps right now or up in the shallows... Thanks
Took the kids swimming at Rough today and talked to a bunch of boats passing through Tules Creek and at the ramp at North Fork. Everyone was struggling with the best having two keepers. I was told that the best bite right now is really early or really late in the day on some kind of topwater bait. I fished a bit with a shakey head while my kids jumped off the cliffs in Tules Creek and caught a keeper spot around 12 foot deep. Tules Creek is LOADED with large schools of threadfin shad but I did not see any activity around or underneath them. The shad schools were all calm and not being disturbed. Hope this helps, although I think fishing at Rough right now is difficult.
