Headed to the Ole KY this weekend....

The start of a 4-5 trip stretch for me.........

September 11-12-13
October 2-3-4
October 16-17-18
October 30-31-Noveember 01

The ONLY bummer is the amount of WEAR I'm putting on the truck and boat.

700 miles round trip for EACH trip is KILLING me and the truck. I put 22 thousand miles on my rig since last October........WOW.

Oh well...............

I'm hoping to do some ledge fishing.......and maybe catch them moving shallow again.

Over labor day my wife and I caught a TON of fish shallow........CANNOT WAIT.

AND she loved the "pretty fish".....those DRUM.........hahahahhahaha.

Also, with regards to this..........

I have not locked in a partner for the October 16, 17, 18th trip..

Anyone here wanting to hookup and split the costs......Split a room, split gas, etc, etc.

Let me know.....your boat, or my boat.....or even if you don't have a boat.

My boat is fine, and handles the water pretty good.

Middle to the end of October and first of Novemeber they will be shallow feeding on shad so take plenty of shad imitating and topwater baits, forget the ledges and have a ball. Sure wish I could go with you but it is not going to happen. Call Kansas Dave up and tell his butt to get in gear on that mid October trip for he will have a ball.

Kansas DAVE...........hahahahahahha.

He's been down and out for the past 8 weeks knee surgery......and now will be working the next YEAR to get caught up......He is hit and miss on trips until the end of the year.

Actually I told him I think he has an AGE discrimination case against his employer.....he's an older guy, and the place he works, GAVE his job to another, younger person......

Funny thing.....before his knee prob, he worked 80 hrs a week EVERY week, and didn't miss a single day........GREAT worker......probably better than TWO YOUNG BUCKS working to do the same thing........

A 3 day trip can usually be done for about 200 bucks each.........

* Gas for the truck and the boat $150.00 ........THAT might be a little high.
* Room for 2 nights $100.00 - $120.00
* Food for 2 dinners.......Usually go out $20.00........
* Misc junk.....you GOTTA hit the cabin.......$30.00
* Lunch/Breakfast/Drinks/Ice........$30.00

One other thing.......Boat and GAS price are VERY subjective.....if we spend a lot of time running.......MORE MONEY.......if we spend time DRIVING to launch.......MORE MONEY......I do a little of both.

That seems about right, and what I normally spend :) :)

In my 13 years with our company, you and I have spoken on the phone a number of times. I started out in Scheduling, went to NWO in '03.

I love the LBL side of KY and the EAST side of Barkley..............

Once we get a little closer, lets DEFINITELY hookup, and see if we can square a trip away..........that would be GREAT.
