KY River Lock 7

I have put in at the small boat ramp above Lock 7 to get to the Dix River.

I am wondering if there is a nearby boat ramp to put in the river below Lock 7..?

Has anyone fished below Lock 7? Any luck and what species might I catch there.

I have never fished below a lock before and for some reason I am interested in starting with that one.

Nearest ramp is off of 68 near bridge over the river, don't know if it is private or not. It is about 1 1/2 miles from lock/dam. There are two more ramps about 5-6 miles farther downstream. One accessible from Nonesuch and one from US127. Below that lock
i have caught plenty of white bass, few hybrids, crappie, LM bass, cats, drum and one small musky, all while fishing for bass with lures. Action has picked up since they started generating for electricity there. Should get better as shad start to stack up near dam as water cools.

There is a launch at Cummins Ferry, they charge $5.00 but your rig is safe and there's a courtesy dock if you're alone
