Kennedy Bridge

Dose anyone know when this work wiil start and finish?

I'm not for sure when it's supposed to start, but a completion date of April 2010 has been set.

I new it was in bad shape but have'nt heard of any work details for the bridge . Anyone got any imformation on what the plans are ?

They have signs up they say the bridge will be closed starting October 12th and is supposed to be completed by April

This the first i have heard of this. You guys are saying that the bridge will be close all together??? for 6 months. Are you sure??????

Yes it will be closed for 6 months.

Maybe they can add a couple feet on the width while they're at it. ;)

Well call me dumb but i have searched google, wave, wlky and can not find anything that is not already going on. There was some inspector check local bridges but nothing about a complete closer. I try the indot site this morning but it was down for some maintance this morning.

i dont think this is the kenedy bridge that conects ky and indiana. i think they are taling about a different bridge. i hope so anyways

Is there a chance they are talking about the bridge down at Herrington. I know it's in real bad shape. Last time I saw it, it was rusted and pieces of brackets on the bridge were rusted in two.
I just don't remember the name of the bridge. Just a guess.

Its the one at herrington, Ive since heard there going to try to raise it up on the pillers with new supports.
