A "Sweaty" question
I keep a lot of my soft plastic baits in the Plano/BPS plastic bait boxes which fit into
a compartment in my boat. When I open a bait box to get out a bait, I notice there
are droplets of moisture on the top of the bait box as if the baits are "sweating" and
the moisture is collecting on the inside of the lids. Anyone else seen this problem and
have any idea what can be done to prevent/stop the problem?

Salt in the soft plastics collecting moisture. Temp difference of the boxes to the ambient outside temp makes it condense. Try the water proof style boxes. Mine still occasionally have moisture in the with the waterproof boxes. Only way to keep it from happening is open boat compartments and store boat in garage.

Re: A "Sweaty" question
Yes it's the temp difference/condensation, have you tried placing a bunch of dried pinto beans in with the baits (to absorb the extra moisture? :)

Re: A "Sweaty" question
Do you keep the baits in the bags in the box or pour them out and seperate them in the compartments? I keep mine in the bags and they do not sweat and like said above pinto beans should do the trick or anything that will collect moisture like a dish rag draped over tem or paper towel.

Re: A "Sweaty" question
You can use rice the same way and it takes alot less room than beans

Re: A "Sweaty" question
I have for years saved those moisture rice-like packages you get in new shoes or other new products. I have kept those and placed them all over my compartments in my boat and in my tackle boxes. It works like a charm. They take the condensation you get everywhere out of the mix.

Yeah those are silica packets...and are the very best thing to draw up moisture...I would highly reccomend using those...DO NOT EAT! (lol)
