Re: school buss pick up help
Growing up I had to walk over a mile each way many times just because of a similar problem,My dad put in a big turnaround across the road with No. 2 rock after a few years of this. It's pretty much either give them a safe place to turn around or deal with it because they will say it endangers the lives of the other children.

No,it was up a hollow, but not much of a hill on the road.Just a narrow blacktop road back in a secluded hollow that the bus wouldn't come down because of no turn around.
In 77',78',79' we had snow deeper than a horses belly and temperatures -25 degrees below zero with big wind chills, didn't have school for over 2 months though.
We drove a volkswagon beetle across the Ohio river from Covington,Ky to Cincinnati,Oh and there is a picture in the Cincinnati Enquirer to prove it.Forgot to mention it was froze over solid.
Re: school buss pick up help
Yes I live in Illinois and I remeber the blizard of 78 but I was out of school. I do remeber getting out of school for a big snow once and I talked my dad into taking me to the sled hill on his way to work and every one was there. He said looks like they could have held school here.
