Hey,,does anyone know if the new bridge over the Tennessee River is open?/ [68] :confused:

They have done nothing to the old bridge yet.

“The Corps of Engineers expects the new bridge to be ready for traffic sometime after the first of next year. To be prepared for that timetable the contractor needs to construct temporary roadway connections this fall.”

US 62/US 641 traffic will detour via Interstate 24 and KY 453 between Grand Rivers and Kentucky Dam Village State Park at Gilbertsville. Weather permitting, the work is expected to take about three weeks to complete. Jim Smith Contracting of Grand Rivers is the contractor for the bridge approach work.

It was closed Sept 9th seems like there three weeks should be up by Nov 9th?????
