Shimano reels

For the Money which reel do you have the boat the Curado or the Chronarch. I do have a few curado but are the Chronarchs that much better for the extra money. All I use are SHIMANOS REELS so ABU GARCIA is out

I have owned both -- older and newer Curados and Chronarchs. I currently have switched to all Calais models.

For the money, go with the Curados. The Curados may have less bearings, but they do have more spool capacity. I can't justify spending that much more money for just one or two extra bearings on the Chronarchs. Both are very nice reels, but go with the Curados -- I'm sure you won't be disappointed.:cool:

I have to say go with the curados , Chronarchs are nice but I cant justify the difference in the price............Jarrod

I would vote for the Curado over the Chronarc I have mostly Calais but I have 2 Curados and they are good reels. I used a Chronarc a few times and I did not like it, I am sure it is just me because my friend that had it liked it. I personally liked the Curado better and less money.

I would buy the curado until shimano figures out why all the drags on the chronarchs are breaking I seen 3 this week that were broken.
