I'm surprised nobody's started a thread about this already. Or maybe they have and it got deleted (I could see where that might happen, since people might have strong feelings on the subject). Anyway, what do you all think of this debacle? Me, I say throw the book at 'em. And I'm glad to see the Secret Service director accepting responsibility. He should, because his team totally blew it.
First off I think the crashing couple are nothing more than pathetic attention craving idiots and they need to grow up and get a life....or at least a 40 hour per week hourly or salary job.
Secondly, I'm glad nothing bad happened inside of the White House because of this.
And third, I'm somewhat glad something like this happened, even though it made the Secret Service guys look like complete idiots, they needed something like this. You know, kind of like how school kids have to go through fire alarm drills "just in case"...same here, now the Secret Service guys should be more on their toes after this little fiasco.
I was surprised that this couple could be so arrogent and tacky at the same time. Couple of rich jerks who think they can do whatever they want. Shocking that the Secret Service wouldnt have caught them as they would not have had an Invitation. It is rather surprising that someone could easily have walked in the White House and caused some serious damage. Especially in this day and age I would think they would be more security conscious.
I think they are just not too smart......I mean if ya want to crash a party, do a superbowl party, or a bachelor party, or the after concert party for Nickleback.....ya know......somewhere you can really PARTY.
