Best Fishing Book Ever! "A Fishing Guide to Kentucky's Major Lakes"
I recently found this book browsing the web for fishing books regarding Kentucky. This is a great read! The only downside it is a little dated. I highly recommend it to satisfy or should i say intensify the fishing itch that many fair weather anglers get in the winter.

I am looking for his other books:
"A Fishing Guide to The Streams of Kentucky"
"A Guide to the Backpacking and Day-Hiking Trails of Kentucky"
If any of you know where i could find them i would appreciate the insight.
Also would anyone happen to know this guy or know how to get a hold of him I would like to meet him.
I am also interested in other fishing/outdoor books pertaining to Kentucky.

I know Art very well. I doubt you are going to be able to find the other books, I believe they are out of print. Send me an e-mail at and I might be able to put you in touch with him. I would suspect that Dave Stewart has met Art as well, so he might be able to help.

I have done some interviews with Art....you should be able to reach him through the Herald Leader in Lexington.

Re: Best Fishing Book Ever! "A Fishing Guide to Kentucky's Major Lakes"
For books about Kentucky its great but its not even close to the best fishing book ever. Its really outdated and its really got alot of basic general info. Guys that fish alot wont learn too much from this book. But its still a nice book to read. I think its a good book for beginners more than guys who really fish alot. I have the book and like it buts not a favorite of mine. I have a nice little library of bass fishing books about 30 total.
here are my favorites-
-Big Bass Zone
-In-fisherman has 2 newer books called critical concepts volume 1 and 2 both are great
-Kevin Van Dam has 2 books both are really good
-Denny Brauer has 2 books one on jigs one on everything both are good
These are my favorites but everyone has their own preferences.

Dave, it is my understanding that Art is no longer with the Herald Leader.

I haven't read anything from him in the Herald Leader in a good while.
