Abu Garcia Silver Maxx... Kidding. I like the Shimano Core alot.
Shimano Curado. Best reel out there.
I'd have about 4 more of each of my Revo STX and Revo Premier. In my opinion, the only improvement I'd like to see is some sort of a "flippin switch", like the cheap ol' Silver Max has. It really is nice to not have to crank the reel to engage the anti-reverse.
Also, though I am an avid Abu-Garcia man....I would still LOVE to try one of those Shimano Calcutta 200DC with the electronic cast control. Of course, then I'd probably still complain that it doesn't have a flippin switch. :D

All time favorite and no longer for sale - Shimano Bantam Mag 10x SG , learned to cast a baitcater with that old reel and still use 3 of them . The Shimano Chronarch 100 and the 100 SF are great reels . Last season used a Revo STX-HS which is nice long casting reel once its dialed in . If money was no problem - the new Shimano Core .
Revo hands down. Best casting reel I've used.
Throwing a bone for a local company. American legacy here in evansville has all their 2009 revo's on sale. Picked up 2 premiers today for 159 each.
Without a doubt, a shimano calais. By far the smoothest reel I have ever used. If money were not an object - I would go ahead and upgrade to the DC's. I wish they were a little lighter. A close second is the chronarch's - I like them a little better than the Core's. I wish they still made the 50 mg's.
Been eyeing the Daiwa Zillion 4.9:1, to pair up with a crankin' rod...and match my 7.1:1 "burner" one from last year.
