Lake Cumberland Fishing Report 12-30-09

Notice I said fishing report, not catching report! Barely got the stink of the boat today:o. Fished West end of lake from 6:45am till 4:15:pm. Boated 2 short SM (12 1/2 ichers) on FNF between 2:00 and 3:00pm. Fished FNF mostly...but some silver buddy.

Anyway...for those who are interested, here's how I found the conditions:D:
Water temp around 49 deg
Water stained, green with visibility 5-6 ft.
Lake level at 684.5 and discharge at 21,500 Ft^3/Hr
Air temp 31 deg in am, with high of 49 deg
Sky partly cloudy
Wind out of the SW (really blew around noon)

It's interesting that it seems the small fish are biting right now. All 4 that we caught Tuesday were between 12-14 inches. That's about as small as I've caught this time of year.

I dont feel so bad about my trip last saturday. All I caught were small ones.:)
