LC Fishing Report 12-31-09

Lake Cumberland Fishing Report 12-31-09
Not a bad day for me. Stink is out of me boat:D! Fished Indian Creek from 7:00 am to 12:45 pm. Boated 3 Small mouth on the FNF with 10 foot leader. 1 at 20", 1 at 17 1/2" and 1 at 16". Lost 2 due to poor/no hook set. (My fault, to much slack line in a cross wind and "baby girl hook set:mad:) Only fished FNF today.

Lake Conditions:
Water temp around 49 deg
Water stained, green with visibility 5-6 ft.
Lake level at 684.35 and discharge at 21,630 Ft^3/Hr
Air temp 40 deg in am, with high of 43 deg
Sky 100% overcast with light rain all morning until around 9:30am. Rain was starting again at 1:30 pm when I pulled the boat out.
Wind out of the SW at ~5 mph

Thanks.....Fishing weather was great today. Had not planned on going, but when I looked at Thursday's forecast last night I decided maybe it would be worth getting little bit wet. One of the benfits of living close to the lake, one can make those last minute decisions to go fish, and then again if the bite is not there, just put the boat back on the trailer and enjoy that 15 minute drive back home. :p

Fished "main creek points". Good to hear you got um today. Can I ask what size they were?

I thought about not fishing tomorrow but may head out to the island and rock wall across from it.

Looks like we've both realized this week that we're more comfortable fishing Cumberland than Dale.
