I would litterally pack up everything I own and move to probably Arizona. Boys I am done with this Artic Circle crap!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Done, Done , Done. Big Gills how in the Sam Hills half acres do you take this junk, I hate it.

Andrew, Chuck or whomever is fishing with me this year, if I say anything about how hot it is just swing your rod and smack me right in the back of the head with it and tell me to shut the heck up. I won't say a word, I promise, lol.

Are we having fun yet Mark?:eek: No?? I have been wondering today how you folks are doing down there as I hear you are having a storm too with snow and freezing rain. It made our news here last night when the newscaster said that the "southern states are in a deep freeze" is what they call it.

Yes we are having the same weather as you but that is just a normal Canadian winter. We also have all that snow removal equipement and the salt trucks that work all night clearing snow and are out on the highway before morning rush hour salting the roads. That makes a huge difference.

I think we get climatized to it over the years and you just got to get out and enjoy it. Snowmobling, skiing, skating on the rivers and lakes, ice fishing and you just have to dress for it. Boots, hat, scarf, good winter coat and that makes the total difference. Heck I just got back in and thought it was nice out. The only way we cope is to tackle it head on, dont stay couped inside, get out there and enjoy it. I think the secret is how you dress. Its brutal when you are not wearing enough cuz it will slice through you. Its a great time to try some ice fishing, just take a flask of whiskey and you will stay warm and some thermal socks.:D It will be gone in a couple of months. We are watching for the Rideau Canal to open as it is the longest skating rink in the world and fun to skate on. Oh yes, we do get lots of sun up here and that does warm you when you are outside.

You know Margie this stuff use to not bother me at all. I'm an avid hunter and have been all my life I use to actually look forward to cold weather/deer season. I've got plenty of good cold weather gear. But Dog Gone it.........It just plain hurts anymore, lol. I've gotten to where I just love the dry warm weather, I guess I'm getting old, lol. You are right that ole Sunshine means alot. Most of our winters down here are cloudy days for the most part. When it does clear out is usually when High Pressure is in charge than it just gets plain cold.

They are calling for a low Saturday and Sunday night below Zero in the outlining areas, that is just nasty cold there.

It's not that cold yet. The squirrels aren't wearing ear muffs, and my neighbors cat hasn't frozen to the bird bath yet. Last year after the ice storm it took 4 days before he could get loose and go home.

Good news.....since the cold snap has started I have not had one door to door saleman, and not one religious group representative show up on my door step. So let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.........

LOL...I travelled to Ball State Univeristy today which is about a three hour drive from Louisville...heck it's always noticeably colder up there than it is here and I always wonder how those folks in Muncie, IN cope with that crap let alone Gills living up in Canada...I swear if I lived any further north it would affect me mentally, lol...

70's back in California :( "If my wife would let me" I would move to northern Mexico and be a millionaire (in pesos that is), sip margaritas and bass fish every day! :D
